President’s Address

A Word from the President

On behalf of the faculty and staff of Baptist Seminary of Kentucky, let me offer you a word of welcome. We are delighted by your interest in the BSK community. We hope you have come with an openness to God’s call to ministry, an openness to growing in your faith through thoughtful study, and an openness to sharing your faith journey with others.

Our main focus is expressed in the following statement: “The purpose of Baptist Seminary of Kentucky is to prepare men and women sensing God’s leadership for life and ministry in faithful witness to Christ in the church and the world.”

To fulfill our purpose, we offer a learning environment in which we stress excellence in academics, development in spiritual formation, and praxis in ministry. We do this in community by reading together, praying together, discerning together, eating together, and imagining together. The seminary experience is much richer if all of us – students, faculty, and staff – make a special effort to be “together.”

Please know that we are available to help you in ways that will enhance and enrich your life as a person, as a student, and as a minister of the Gospel of Christ. If you wish to contact me, you can email me here.

“May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope.”
